I contacted Rachel for a shoot while I was on Kauai and she was so quick to get back and scheduling was super easy with her. And ahhh I’m so grateful we got a chance to connect - I LOVE my photos so much. She does a beautiful job holding space for women to feel comfy in front of the camera (and I usually completely freeze up in front of one). Her work is intentional and her creativity comes thru in the shots. I’m so happy with my photos and will gladly recommend her to anyone on the island.

Rachel was absolutely perfect for our surprise proposal. I did not want a generic proposal and shoot on a public beach and requested a private hike. Rachel recommended many options and she chose the most stunning location. The hike was completely private and a perfect combination of difficulty mixed with amazing views. "Rachel first photographed my family while we were on our baby moon. We had her photograph us the following year after our second was born. It has sort of become a tradition for our family- whenever we go to Kauai, we have Rachel photography us. She is that good. My husband and I are not great subjects to shoot, we are awkward and our children are wild but somehow, Rachel will send us dozens of beautiful images and I get misty eyed going through them. Her gentle but direct posing instructions are appreciated and extremely helpful and they always turn out very natural, it doesn’t feel forced and it photographs beautifully. Photography isn’t just Rachel’s job, it’s her passion and you can really tell she is truly fulfilled by it because it translates so easily into her photos. I wanted pictures that depicted our family’s love in an organic, free, romantic style and Rachel absolutely nailed it. She’s accommodating and quick to roll with any changes so you get a lot of shots during your session. My friends saw her on our recommendation and loved her pictures as well. Beyond her amazing skills, Rachel is just an overall lovely being. So friendly and warm, it’s like seeing a long time friend the moment you meet her. "Rachel was so fantastic to work with. Before we even made it to Hawaii for our baby moon, communicating with her was a breeze and I felt comfortable before even meeting her in person. The day of the shoot was so easy, even with a slightly grumpy 2-year-old in tow.
